OVERLAND Bangkok – Poipet – Siem Reap

Option. 1 (by package ticket bus): Cheapest way but longest and most tiring. Package tickets are easy to buy from any travel agents on Khao San and Sukhumvit Road. Price differ from 160 - 700 baht depends on your skin. But mostly send customers to the same bus company.
Departure Bangkok about 7Am and arrived at the border Aranyaprathet/ Poipet around 12 noon. A guy from the Bus company will explain; how can you catch their bus at the Cambodian side. Walking pass the bridge and proceed necessary paper work.
Trip to Siem Reap is totally smooth and arrive in siem reap about 5 pm.

But the tendency of some bus companies to deliberately drag out the trip; numerous stops for no reason. So that the passengers arrive in Siem Reap at night, tired and disoriented. They are then ‘delivered’ to a commission-paying guesthouse.

Please give a call to 092 865 356, 063 761 662. We will come and pick you up from that guest house if you wish to stay with us.

Option. 2: (By your own):

  • Take a bus from Mochit Bus station to Aranyaprathet. Leaving hourly from 4 Am to 6 Pm.  (4-5 Hrs) OR - Take a Train from Hualamphong Station (5:55 Am; 1:05 Pm).( 6 Hrs)

  • From Aranyaprathet - Take tuk-tuk to the border & Walk pass the border

  • Choice one - Share Taxi; Whole Taxi, Bus or Pick up truck.

  • Bus: Take a free shuttle from the border to bus station. Expecting to wait till the bus full. 1-2 Hours or MORE?

  • Pickup Truck: Poipet to Sisophon -  Siem Reap. 2-3 hours or more?

OUR RECOMMENDATION
