Yami Gautam's Husband, Aditya Dhar, Praises Her Performance in 'Haq': A Heartwarming Story (2026)

In the world of Bollywood, relationships often spark curiosity, but few stories are as heartwarming as that of Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar. After viewing her recent film, "Haq," Aditya expressed his admiration for her work, solidifying his role as her most significant supporter in her career.

Yami Gautam, an accomplished actress, opened up about her marriage to filmmaker Aditya Dhar, revealing how he balances fatherhood with being a supportive partner. In a candid conversation with Mid-day India, she acknowledged how Aditya actively participates in parenting, allowing her the freedom to pursue her career.

"When he watched 'Haq,' he said some incredibly kind things to me. I eagerly anticipate his insights on my performances because his opinion truly matters to me. Motherhood is a wonderful gift, yet I also feel the need to continue my work," Yami shared, highlighting the dual roles she embraces in her life.

Reflecting on her return to acting soon after becoming a mother, Yami admitted to experiencing what many call 'mom guilt.' However, she recalled her mother's wise words encouraging her not to let the emotional weight of motherhood hinder her ambitions. "I've dedicated my life to becoming an independent woman, and I don’t want those feelings to hold me back," she stated.

Yami and Aditya's journey began during the production of the 2019 hit "Uri: The Surgical Strike," where their professional relationship blossomed into something more meaningful. Their romance grew quietly before they delighted fans with their wedding announcement in June 2021. The couple celebrated another joyous occasion in 2024 with the arrival of their son, Vedavid, marking a new chapter in their lives.

As for the film "Haq," which is directed by Suparn Varma, it features an impressive cast including Sheeba Chaddha, Danish Husain, Aseem Hattangady, and Vartika Singh alongside Yami and Emraan Hashmi. The narrative is inspired by the significant legal battle of Shah Bano Begum, whose landmark case in 1985 led to major advancements in the rights of divorced Muslim women regarding maintenance from their former spouses. Interestingly, the Madhya Pradesh High Court recently dismissed a petition from Shah Bano's daughter seeking to halt the film’s release, allowing it to premiere in theaters on November 7.

Meanwhile, Aditya is also celebrating his own success with the film "Dhurandhar," which debuted on December 5 and features a star-studded lineup including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal. This film is reportedly nearing the ₹300 crore mark at the Indian box office, further establishing his status in the industry.
